Full Stack Software Engineer

At Fize, we rely on our dynamic team of engineers to solve the many challenges and puzzles that come with our rapidly evolving technical stack.

We’re looking for a software engineer with full-stack (could be backend leaning) experience to join the core platform team.Our team is responsible for Fize’s core data acquisition platform and our mission is to make it one-click away for websites and apps that require personal insurance data. Here, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of projects across the entire stack.

  • 4+ years of versatile, full-stack development experience.
  • Working knowledge of popular client-side (JS/React) and server-side technologies (Python / Node.js / MySQL).
  • Experience working with PMs optimize end-to-end workflow experiences for both end-users and business clients.
  • Aspire to sharpen both backend and frontend development skill sets.
Job requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
  • Fluent in CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), Javascript and HTML, with an understanding of CSS preprocessors including SASS and LESS.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, Python and MySQL (or PostgreSQL), with working understanding of DynamoDB, AngularJS, React and Node.js.
  • Proficient in JS-based tools including Bower, Grunt and Gulp.
  • Experience working with languages such asJava, .Net, Python, PHP or Ruby.
  • Working experience as a full stack developer.
  • Experience working with server technologies including Node.js, Apache, Nginx.
  • Experience in API design and development.
  • Understanding of libraries including Backbone.js and jQuery.
  • Experience with AJAX.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms.
